This a a chill, relaxing, cozy place. The surfing fox is decorated beautifully. Our server was so good. She answered any questions we had and spoke with us about the area. I wish I could remember her name. For food we shared an app of the shishito peppers. My friend and I both really enjoyed them. The charred onion aioli, while visually unappealing, had a great taste. For the main I had the fried chicken sandwich- it came topped with slaw and an aioli spread. This was just ok. The chicken was dripping with grease and was lacking seasoning. The fries were good so no complaints there. My friend had fish and chips. Overall, she enjoyed her meal. She said the fish itself was cooked perfectly. Her only feedback was the batter was too thick and it slid right off the fish. Lastly- I had a local mango blond ale beer(I believe. And I think it was called “the fox”) While our meal was just ok, the service and atmosphere made up for the average food. I would definitely come back here and try some of the other dishes.

The Surfing Fox was a hidden gem. It is located in the Pierside Hotel. Nicely decorated with a calm relaxing ambiance. It was never too crowded for us during breakfast and lunch hours. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. It is right across the street from the Santa Monica Peir and only a couple minutes walk from the 3rd street promenade. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. I really enjoyed the food at this place. We ordered a burger and a shrimp bowl. At the same time, there was a huge group of 20+ guests there, but surprisingly our food was served very quickly. However, they forgot about our drinks, so I’m giving it a 4 ⭐️. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting 👍

Service was great. Food was good. Lobster roll was good but bun was too oily/ butter(maybe). Outside seating was great. Had a wonderful afternoon with friends

We placed our order online and opted for a quick pickup directly at the restaurant. We decided on the classic fish and chips along with the shrimp toast. The fish was expertly cooked with a perfect flake, and the fries were seasoned well with a satisfying crunch. Additionally, the shrimp toast smelled funny but was puffy and had a very pleasant texture. Beyond the food, the location is absolutely fantastic and easy to access. Overall, it was a seamless and delicious experience that we would certainly recommend to others.
